FORECLOSURE STATS HOVER AROUND 200 PER MONTH
The Vancouver - Clark County foreclosure statistics are hanging around 200 per month. The number for September 2009 was 214.
As seen in last months graph, August had 187 notices of trustee sales. That was the lowest since December of 2007.
As you can see the trend is was down from its June peak. There are many factors affecting the foreclosures on the market. The stimulus plans in effect appear to be helping. Interest rates are down and market is activity fairly good, considering the state of the economy overall. We are not beyond the problem yet. There have been 3,213 notices of trustee sale in Clark County this year. There have been 3,575 sales noted by the MLS in the same time frame. Those 3,213 houses will have to be liquidated before the market can recover.
